the trail was muddier than I expected today. it hasn’t rained for the last few days but there were still big muddy patches all over.

so I found out that the v5f speeds were not available in the US and might be a limited run model so I picked up a pair. ran in them for the first time today and they felt pretty good. the fit is a little tighter than my kso’s but that probably to make up for the lack of an achelles strap, but still very comfortable.

v5f speeds. it’s unusual that the first time i see a v5f model is in a store in japan. even though these were around $130 i would have gotten them had i not just ordered a pair or treks.

this is the trail head from the run I did on Sunday. the first several hundred meters were pretty much straight up.
